Purple Friday is LGBT Youth Scotland’s annual fundraising day.
This takes place on the last Friday of each month of February to mark the end of LGBT History Month. Their annual fundraising day is an integral part to keeping their youth work services running across Scotland, including Dundee.
Here at The Corner, we stand against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, and fully support our colleagues at LGBT Youth Scotland to help make Scotland the best place for LGBTI young people to grow up. During our staff training day on Wednesday 24 March 2021, we took part in LGBT Youth Scotland’s Pass The Torch Relay challenge where our Health Outreach Worker, Caroline reminded us all about the importance of Purple Friday and LGBT History Month.
