The Corner hasn't always been here! It all began back in the early 90's when young people across Dundee pointed out that they wanted informal and confidential health and information services. The Corner Drop-In opened its doors in Dundee City Centre in March 1996 and we've been busy ever since.

"The Corner" provides a wide range of confidential health and information services for young people aged between 11 - 25 years. This includes contraception and pregnancy testing, information on housing issues, money, employment, drugs, alcohol, mental health, individual support, opportunities to take part in training, drama, arts, free internet access . . . and much more! From simple information to individual support which could be about any number of things: relationships, school, health, sex or just wondering if you are normal? (a common one!) We want to make sure that young people find it easy to get the service they need and see what else we and other agencies can offer them.

At The Corner we are really, really keen to keep our doors open to as many young people as we can and this means that we also need to keep our minds open and listen to what you want.

If services don't match your needs tell us and this will help new services develop - an example of this is that our nurses can offer some services that in other places only doctors can offer.

We know that young people can get a raw deal just because they are young and we want to give them as many opportunities as possible to have their say, learn new skills and build confidence.

That's why we are not all about problems - there are always new projects and events happening where young people can have a laugh, learning from others and trying out new things!
