Friendships

Activities
Through involvement in the Peer Education Project young people say making new friends is as important to them as any other part of the Project. Peer Educators are selected outwith their friendship groups, broadening their networks within the school and the community.

Transition
Peer Educators work with Primary 7 pupils for six, weekly sessions, building a relationship which can ease the move from primary to secondary school. Peer Educators are involved formally and informally in supporting new first years when they start secondary school, links which can ease potential difficulties for the new intake to secondary school.
